Women veterans often face a particular kind of isolation — underrepresented in veteran spaces that skew heavily male, and sometimes hesitant to seek support that doesn't understand their specific experience of service. RHTWG's Women Veterans Circle was built to close that gap.
The Women Veterans Circle is a non-clinical, peer-led support group. It does not provide therapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment, and does not require VA enrollment to participate.
What Makes It Different
- Women-only, peer-led. The group is facilitated by a veteran peer — someone who has walked a similar path, not a credentialed outsider.
- All discharge statuses welcome. You don't need an honorable discharge, VA enrollment, or any specific paperwork to participate.
- MST-informed. The space is built with awareness of military sexual trauma and its impact, without requiring anyone to disclose or discuss it.
What the Circle Actually Helps With
- VA benefit navigation. Help understanding and applying for VA benefits you've earned.
- HUD-VASH housing support. Navigation toward HUD-VASH vouchers and other veteran-specific housing programs.
- SSVF referrals. Connections to Supportive Services for Veteran Families for those facing housing instability.
- DD-214 recovery. Help obtaining a replacement DD-214 if yours has been lost — often a prerequisite for accessing other veteran benefits.
- Peer community. A recurring, women-only circle for connection with others who understand military life and the transition out of it.
Cost and Access
The Women Veterans Circle is sliding scale and donation-supported, with no referral required. You don't need to be currently enrolled with the VA to participate.
